Provides complex technical support, planning, and coordination and reporting for the distributed computer environment, including desktop, software and hardware issues. Performs diagnosing of installations and resolution of desktop computer, operating system, instrument connections, application software and hardware technologies and associated problems.
Engineering of systems administration-related solutions for various project and operational needs
Maintain best practices on managing systems and services across all environments
Fault finding, analysis and logging information for reporting of performance
Create and modify scripts or applications to perform tasks
Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes
Works independently with little to no direct supervision in analysis and implementation of desktop solutions to fulfil business unit requirements.
Acts as a technical liaison with user groups and other IT partners for systems support and implementation. Provides an effective interface among users, vendors, IT partners and consultants in evaluating technical issues and products.
Demonstrates creativity and initiative in problem solving.
Proficiency in writing technical documentation of hardware and software additions, used tools and IT change management.
Keeps up to date on advanced technical skills, equipment and technologies.

Required Qualifications/skills
Fluent in English both verbal and written
Advanced knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems.
Advanced ability to perform complex troubleshooting and analysis of PC hardware, PC operating systems.
Intermediate knowledge and understanding of LAN environments
Intermediate knowledge of communication protocols
Creative and advanced problem-solving skills that lead to effective solutions to complex and varied problems
